Conference Venue
The university campus is located within the city center, close to the Genovés Park and the Caleta beach.
The main venue of the ECER 2012 is the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.
It consists of different areas that range from wide classrooms to small cosy ones with a warmer atmosphere, meeting rooms and wide public central areas which are ideal for exhibitions. It also has a cafeteria and a wide patio.
Apart from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters another three close-by buildings will be hosting the EERA Conference.
All buildings are in walking distance from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters:
- Faculty of Medicine: 200 meters
- Faculty of Business and Economics: 600 meters
- Faculty of Labour Studies: 700 meters

Faculty of Philosophy and LettersThe University of Cádiz was created in 1979. It is a public university strongly linked to the territory in which it develops its activities of teaching, research, development and innovation. It is structured into 4 campuses, situated in Cádiz, Jerez, Puerto Real and Algeciras. The University of Cádiz is member of 4 International Campuses of Excellence. Its 1,192 lecturers, who are organized into 47 departments and 125 research groups, develop an intense international activity implementing 45 international cooperation projects around the world in the last year.
The University of Cádiz has 15 faculties where 20,780 students (1,017 of them international) are enrolled in 64 degrees, some of which are offered in a bilingual mode (Spanish/English).
ECER 2012 will meet in Cádiz, a seafaring city with 3,000 years of history and the southernmost provincial capital in Spain, marked by the legacy of the diverse cultures that have passed through it, such as Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans or Arabs.
