Upcoming ECER

We do not plan to suggest a special network focus for ECER 2012, although we would welcome papers addressing the conference theme in ways which relate it to teacher education. There may be joint symposia in the planning stages but we do not have details at the moment.

We would like to propose a joint session with Network 25 about children's rights in teacher education, namely in the context of research developed by student teachers. The several papers, from different countries, on induction programs also suggest the possibility to have a symposium, possible joint with network 1, about the topic.

Network 10 will offer following subthemes for ECER 2010

• Research on programmes and pedagogical approaches in teacher education
• Research on professional knowledge & identity in teacher education
• Research on values, beliefs & understandings in teacher education
• Research on teacher educators
• Research on teacher induction and early career teachers
• Research in teacher education: cultures and methodologies
