In 2011, we used the network mailing list to inform each other about ICT-related activities or plans.

The url to subscribe to and use the mailing list is:

mailman.eera-ecer.eu/listinfo/nw16.

Persons interested in the network can subscribe and communicate using this list. To prevent viruses, mail attachments are not allowed. Instead a link or url can be used to refer to relevant information. This year, however, we made no progress in further developing the mailing list.

Furthermore, many members of the network had presentations at other conferences, or activities in collaboration with various types of ICT partners.

Future Plans for Network 16

The need to be methodologically more strict in judging proposals for ECER was emphasised during the network meeting. It is also seen to be very worthwhile to use the mailing list to reach out to and communicate with members, for example, to prepare symposia for ECER 2012.

Moreover, it was again suggested to combine reports about ongoing research, or posters, in one time slot or one session. Each report or poster can get a presentation time of about five minutes. An overall discussion would then follow. This provides a clearer overview of ongoing projects and we can use time more efficiently.

Network Activities up to ECER 2011

In 2010 we planned to use a small EERA fund to develop and start a mailing list. The goal is to promote the exchange of information and collaboration between researchers in the network. As a next step, we will develop user registration and try to connect this to a database. We will check whether the EERQI database can be functional here.

The url to subscribe to and use the mailing list is:

mailman.eera-ecer.eu/listinfo/nw16.

Network members can subscribe and communicate by this list. To prevent viruses, appendices to mails are not allowed. Instead a link or url can be used to refer to relevant information.

We also integrated a set of papers presented at ECER 2009 to appear in an issue of the ‘Journal of Educational Research Online’. Many members of the network had presentations at other conferences, or activities in collaboration with ICT partners.
