2003 - 2006
The Research on Children’s Rights in Education Network began in 2003.
Zoran Pavlovic, Director of Research at the Education Research Institute in Ljubljana, Slovenia, assembled a group of researchers from across Europe who were interested in exploring research in children’s rights as a specific focus.
He acted as the network’s first Link-Convenor from 2003-2006.

2006 - 2010
Solveig Hägglund, Professor in the Faculty of Arts and Education at Karlstad University in Sweden, became Link-Convenor from 2006-2010.  From the outset the network has engaged a broad range of research interests in relation to children’s rights in education that embraces legal, philosophical, pedagogic and ethnographic approaches.
