Network Activities
This year saw the first collective publication from network members, based upon
papers given at the 2010 Vienna conference, in Education Inquiry. A copy of this
themed edition on children’s rights can be accessed here.
Future Developements
Ideas on joint sessions and symposia for ECER 2011 and joint publications were discussed during the business meeting. The thoughts are under development and discussion.
Future Developments 2009
During the year to come, we will proceed the planning of a common publication.
During the network meeting, ideas on possibilities to conduct research on children´s rights in education across the European countries were discussed.
Some preliminary ideas on themes, for example poverty and inclusion were brought up but need to be elaborated further. This idea we would like to apply for funding by the EERA Council in order to organise a meeting to be elaborated further. Such a meeting may either lead to a joint proposal at European level or to research activities with national funding but linked together by the network.
