History of Network 05

The research network was established in 1996 and is a joint effort of the former European Board of Urban Education and Social Policy and the OECD-network on Children and Youth at Risk. Founding members include professor Christopher Day (UK) and professor Dolf van Veen (Netherlands). The research network has an active core group of members. Every two years an additional research conference is organised around an important topic.

The research network actively supports the publication of research books.

At present more than 80 researchers participate in the network. Multi-service schools, integrated services, and school and city strategies to improve results for children and youth have become major topics in the research network.
